Digger Bear™ - DPDU (He's in Desert Camouflage!!)
Limited Edition - 5000 Bears only Digger Bear™ - DPDU is a new release for 2008, and was designed and developed following requests from numerous members of the Australian Defence Force, to create a bear wearing the current desert uniform.
"Digger Bear™ - DPDU" (the initials DPDU means Disruptive Pattern Desert Uniform) is a lusciously soft golden coloured bear with hinged limbs, and overall he measuring approx. 39cm. He is dressed in desert camouflage uniform, with desert hat, and has been manufactured to our usual high standards. Again, as indicative of our other bears, the ear-tag he wears summarises the theme of the bear - our Defence Personnel.

The original design was initially issued to SAS troops deployed to Afghanistan, but has been the subject of ongoing colour modification dependant on the terrain. This uniform with its colour combinations of brown, grey, pale blue and purple on a yellow background is current issue to ADF personnel serving in desert regions overseas. |
